With qualifications in both Business and Law, Phil uses his 30 + years of industry experience to advise clients across all fields of commercial operations including tourism, commercial law, and workplace relations.
Recognised repeatedly as a “Leading Agribusiness Lawyer” by Doyle’s Guide, Phil is also a specialist in Agribuisiness, assisting clients with negotiation of access and compensation agreements, land clearing, grain contracts and trading, farm sales & leasing, farming succession and animal welfare matters.
Having worked in both national and local law firms, Phil has appeared before Fair Work Australia, the Federal Magistrates Court, and the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission. Phil is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and a Director of the Prostate and Breast Cancer Foundation.
Jessica Brunner is a graduate of AICD. She has a background in industrial relations, human resources, and business management and development.
As well as running Bailiwick Legal Jess undertakes human resource consulting work for clients, assisting with workplace reviews, documentation, and workplace investigations.
Jess is also a qualified conveyancer and undertakes all settlement and property transactions for our clients.
When she is not busy at Bailiwick Jess is a Board member of the APC (Beekeeping), WITH_WA, & Get Scrubbed WA, as well as serving on the State Council of Agribusiness Australia. In her spare time Jess loves to paint, is a novice apiarist and a keen gardener.
Danielle was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2016 and the High Court of Australia in 2019. She commenced employment with Bailiwick Legal in 2019 after spending her initial years as a lawyer in a boutique law firm practicing in the areas of civil litigation and criminal law.
Danielle brings to the team a wealth of experience in the areas of civil litigation and commercial law, having appeared in various Magistrates Courts, the District Court, Supreme Court and State Administrative Tribunal. Danielle predominately practices in the areas of agribusiness/rural law, tourism law, general commercial law and wills and estate planning. Her focus is on providing clients with considerate and practical solutions to their legal problems.
Danielle grew up in the country town of Cunderdin and spends her working time between Beverley, where she currently resides on her husband’s family farm, and the head office in West Perth. She is also regularly out and about in the regions throughout WA for Bailiwick Legal’s Regional Legal Hot Desk and other sponsorship and partnership events.
Matilda is a recently admitted solicitor with a passion for agriculture. She is from a farming background and has spent most her life living in rural and regional areas of Western Australia. If she’s not in the office, its likely she’s driving along a country road to her next camping destination.
Anna undertook work experience with us from March 2022 while completing her tertiary studies at the University of Notre Dame Australia. After graduating in June 2022, she began her practical work experience while completing her studies with the College of Law.
Her family live in the Great Southern region. She has always had a love for the area and the opportunities to network in rural WA.
When out of office, Anna loves to visit family down south or getting out to watch some weekend sport and she is a keen Formula 1 fan.
Evelyn brings her professional experience in legal practice management to her role as Business Administrator at Bailiwick Legal.
Having completed the College of Law Western Australian Legal Practice Management course, she is responsible for administrative and paralegal tasks.
Her breadth of experience in administration and marketing, and her background in Tertiary Education, has equipped her for a diverse portfolio of office duties.
